Any employee who witnesses anyone expressing or acting on racist views should intervene, if it is safe for them to do so.

It's important to report the incident and make sure the disciplinary process is carried out quickly and fairly - but it's also very important to check on the victim and see how they are feeling. They may be badly shaken or scarred and need a colleague, friend or family member to help them recover from the incident. If you witness racist behaviour at the workplace, it's really important to make sure you are supporting the victim of the racist behaviour in any way that you can.

If you still have questions or worries about reporting a racist incident at your workplace and would like to speak to an Organise staff member to figure out the best way forward, please use this link to send us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
